You would reply to your own thread and type in the box "Bump!" That way people see you need some more help.

We are all entitled to our opinions but I just think you were a little rough. I don't know about anyone else but when I post it's for the act of sharing something. It's nice when people acknowledge it but not everyone has the time to do so. If I have a problem and don't get answered I'll PM someone for help. There are some posts I just don't read because they don't interest me and I'm sure not everyone is interested in mine and that's OK. There are also times when I could answer but don't because a particular post may make me angry and I' not always the most tactful person LOL. I love hearing about your adventures with Harley and pics too. I'm also registered with a couple of other boards that I very rarely post on and do alot of lurking;it keeps me updated on the goings on all over the bird world.

Jim, don't feel bad. I've got tons of posts that no one ever replies to. :) But I've got a big mouth and like to post. I'm with Judy in that if I dont' know the answer I usually don't post. I can't think of one reason why I wouldn't like you, so I know it's not that! I DO like you. ;) There are very few people in this world that I dislike, I feel most people are good.

FIVE PAGES? I missed five pages of stuff?
I should be fired, flogged and all kinds of other stuff ... Jim my friend, I wholeheartedly know what you are talking about and many a times have I sat and ground my teeth (Ok, my dentures when I had them in) at the lack of responses to my threads.
I see that folks are reading them but only a small handful really respond with any regularity.
I too have tried the 'post lots of welcomes and stuff' and the 'screw it, if they want to hear from me they'll ask' phase only to find that hardly anyone came looking.
I for one (even though I don't respond to many of your threads) am more than tickled to have you here and sincerely hope that you'll not go any time soon.
All I can say is to post to your hearts content and don't sweat the petty stuff (and for sure don't pet the sweaty stuff) around here.
    Sending a big hug!

Here are two ideas for creating some extra interest:
An annual theme photo competition of a parrot must be members parrots, must be a photo never used before ie a new pic. Themes are easy - for instance: a water theme. The pics must be captioned The winner, second and third placed will have a special place on the site until the next competition. and the talented/lucky people can produce short resumes of their winning pics. The judge/s need to be someone neutral perhaps someone with photographic expertise.

The second idea is a competition for the best short ( say 250 words or less) story concerning parrots.

I am so new i sqeak but i will say that as a stranger to your site - your first impression is one of harmony and concern for the welfare and care of your birds. It is also readily apparent that you are willing to share advice freely, readily and with a degree of patience and understanding. You can tell all of this before registering - that works well.
